RESUME WORKSHOP
Resume workshop is designed to help you evaluate your resume
to present yourself in the most effective manner. You will learn
to:
- Identify a clearly stated JOB OBJECTIVE
- Summarize your WORK HISTORY and EDUCATION
- Select an appropriate FORMAT
- Research JOB INDUSTRY
INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES/MOCK INTERVIEW
Does the idea of a job interview send you into stress mode? We
can help you develop an appropriate interview strategy. You will
learn how to:
- Improve your communication and interview skills
- Ask the appropriate questions
- Learn how to evaluate each interview
- Learn how to answer difficult questions
- Practice these learned techniques in a mock interview

NEW DIRECTIONS
New Directions is a FREE program
for New York City women with low to moderate income who are
committed to starting or running their own businesses. Click
here for an informational flyer!
Program highlights include: marketing trends in today's economy,
revisiting and strengthening the business plan, accessing capital
for business growth and enhancing leadership skills.
Classes meet from 6:00 pm - 9:00 p.m. two evenings each week
for 12 weeks in downtown Manhattan. Click

JOB LISTINGS
Pursue job leads on a regular basis with a range of current
job listings from private and public sector employers including:
corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations
and small businesses.
Available to Job Ready and New Directions Program participants.
OTHER SUPPORTIVE SERVICES
- All Job Ready and New Directions program participants
are eligible for Self-Sufficiency Calculator screening
to determine their eligibility for a variety of benefits/work
supports and tax credits
- Computer access - for Job Ready and New Directions Program
participants only - to revise resumes (by appointment
only)
- Referrals for low-cost computers and printers
- Receive new interview and work outfits
